Scout Field Trips

Orthodontic Smiles

We would like to invite the 1st through 5th graders from the Cub Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts, & Girl Scouts to come visit our office on a field trip. We have a lot of information and fun packed into one hour, including:

  • The New Patient Exam Process–What Doctor Karl looks for in our mouths, and what kinds of problems we can fix.
  • The Clinic–How braces go on, different orthodontic appliances and how wires move our teeth.
  • The Lab–Taking impressions of our teeth, stone casts & how certain appliances are made.
  • Dr. Karl Time–Dr. Karl will be available to answer any questions and help fill out badge worksheets.

The scouts will also realize that it's easy to have orthodontics, the ease and benefits from orthodontics–if they were to need it. We will teach how children and adults wear braces and all the procedures done for our patients. This will help the children know that it is very easy and fun to have a great smile!

We would like to have between 15 and 30 scouts at each field trip. They could even get their "Dentistry" Badges!
